Student Behavior

Today's schools teach more than just "the three Rs". Today's students must demonstrate not only academic knowledge, but also social, emotional, and character skills.

If you're familiar with the national RTI or Kansas' MTSS models, you're well aware of the role that students' behavior plays in school culture and how schools respond with appropriate interventions when those goals are not met.

For students with disabilities, behavioral goals may be included within their IEPs.

The pages contained in this section of my website contain information about students whose behavior is so severe that they are removed from schools for punitive reasons.
